The challenge

EU regulations change faster than ever. We help you keep up

EPR works differently in every country: separate registers, methods, deadlines and penalties. Without a proper system, compliance becomes a risk you don’t see until an audit arrives.

Every country, different rules

29 markets mean separate registers, forms and deadlines for packaging, WEEE and batteries.

Blocked listings

Amazon and other marketplaces verify EPR numbers. Without one, sales in that country stop.

Fines and back fees

A missing registration or a wrong report can mean a fine plus unpaid fees for several years back.

Spreadsheets don’t scale

Weights, materials and quantities in a separate sheet for every country is an easy way to file a wrong report.

PPWR changes the rules

PPWR applies from 12 August 2026. Recyclability, labelling and empty space in parcels are phased in.

EPR depends on one person

Holiday, sick leave or a resignation, and nobody knows what is due and when. That is not a strategy, it is a risk.

EPR in short

What exactly is EPR?

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an EU environmental policy principle. The company that places packaging and certain products on the market is responsible for their collection and recycling.

Depending on the country and sales model, the obligation can fall on the manufacturer, the seller or whoever first places the goods on the market. In practice it usually means registering, reporting quantities, paying fees and meeting each country’s rules separately.

Countries

27 EU markets, the UK and Turkey. One point of contact.

We handle registration and reporting in every EU country, the UK and Turkey, and also cover EPR outside Europe and in US states. Marketplaces such as Amazon increasingly ask sellers for local EPR numbers before they can list.

Who it’s for

Which solution fits your business?

EPR obligations in Europe depend heavily on company size and industry. Pick the profile closest to yours to see the typical challenges and how we help.

EPR for small online shops

The challenge:

You ship parcels to customers in several EU countries, and each one needs its own packaging registration. The rules are in different languages and reporting deadlines don’t line up.

Our solution:

We work out where you really need to register, handle the registrations and report your packaging every month for you.

How it works

Three steps from questions to compliance

Step 1Obligation analysis

We check which products, packaging and markets trigger EPR for your company, and what it will cost.

Free consultation
Step 2Registration

We register you in the national EPR systems, sign the compliance-scheme contracts and send you every number.

Step 3Reporting

We file monthly, quarterly and annual reports in each country and keep your registrations up to date.

FAQ

Common questions

Don't see your question? Write to us and we'll answer within one business day.

Ask a question
What is EPR and does it apply to me?

Extended Producer Responsibility makes the company that first places a product or its packaging on a country's market pay for its collection and recycling. If you sell to consumers in another EU country, you are usually the producer there, even when you ship from Poland.

I sell to Germany. Do I need to register there?

In most cases, yes. Packaging that reaches German consumers needs a LUCID registration and a contract with a dual system, and electronics need a WEEE registration. Marketplaces check these numbers and can block offers without them.

Do I need an Authorized Representative?

Some countries, Germany for WEEE among them, require a local Authorized Representative if you have no company there. We provide this service in Poland and in other markets.

What does PPWR change for online sellers?

The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation applies from 12 August 2026, with more requirements phased in over the following years. Recyclability, packaging labelling and limits on empty space in parcels matter most for e-commerce.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of countries, product streams and quantities. The first analysis of your obligations is free, and after it you get a concrete quote.

Can I start with one country?

Yes. Many clients start with Germany or Poland and add markets as they grow. Everything stays with one contact person and in one EPRpilot account.
